Getting Ready
I had hoped to finish editing my noir this week, but life gets in the way as it often does. I have at least two more passes to do before I can call the novel done. So much for the plans of mice.

It’s the last days of October, and NaNoWriMo kicks into gear in less than two days. Am I ready? I believe so. I have a story summary and a scene breakdown. I had fun coming up with this story, and I hope it will be as enjoyable to write. We shall see.
NaNoWriMo is always difficult for me because I don’t enjoy writing to a deadline. That’s probably why I don’t market or “pitch” my stories. There is enough pressure in my life, and everything 2020 has thrown at me more so. I also have more projects and things in my life than just writing. Writing is not a vocation. It’s what I do to dump ideas and excess creativity.
I plan on writing my 2K words per day, plus or minus. This, as I’ve said before, gives me a buffer of a few days which I can slack off, if needed. I always fear burning out by pushing too hard. A day or once in a while lets me ensure I continue.
On other fronts, I’ve come up with a good way to archive my writing projects. I’m exporting them out of my writing app, Auteureist, into a wiki, TiddlyWiki to be specific. Here is a screen shot of an early attempt to organize my projects in it:
If you’re interested, here is a link to TiddlyWiki (it’s free).
I got some good news. My Roland Targus series of novels (all written during NaNoWriMo) are now available for purchase on the Apple Book store in addition to the Blurb site. If you’re interested, here is a link: Serg Koren. Note, the order of the books in the store is not the order you should read them. I’m not sure why Apple re-sequenced them the way it does. You can find the correct sequence on this site at https://auteureist.com
That’s enough for now. I’ll be updating this blog every couple of days during NaNoWriMo with my progress.
Word up!
