The Preferences Screen allows you to set information that is generic to everything you write and is exported and synchronized. It also provides links to all of the applications with which Auteureist™ integrates.
Additionally, this view allows you to set text colors, and an application-wide password as well as backup and restore your writing.
Top of screen

The Author, Copyright, and Agent information is exported and synchronized.
Selecting these will allow you to set the text and background colors in the Chapter Text Screen.
The Password item will let you set or clear the application-wide password.

- The password can contain any character.
- It must be at least 5 characters long.
- To clear/remove the password, enter a minus sign (-) alone.
Tapping the Backup button will backup ALL of your novels. This will automatically replace any existing backup you may have.
Tapping the Restore button will replace ALL of your novels with the ones stored in the backup.
WARNING: RESTORING WILL REPLACE ALL OF YOUR NOVELS. MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU WANT TO RECOVER EVERYTHING
The Integration section will take you to the Safari web browser and open the corresponding product website. These are the applications with which Auterureist™ integrates.
Selecting the Author and Agent items on the Preferences Screen will allow you to choose a name from the Address Book
Selecting the Copyright item from the Preferences Screen will allow you to set the copyright information. This is exported and synchronized.
Selecting the Text or Background Color item from the Preferences Screen will allow you to set the appropriate colors that are used on the Chapter Text Screen. These are not specific to a novel or chapter.
Selecting the Password item on the Preferences Screen will allow you set or clear the application-wide password.
NOTE: Do not forget your password! I won't be able to help you.
Things to keep in mind:
Password Prompt
If you don't enter a password of at least 5 characters you will see this alert.
To clear the password (and suppress the Password Entry Screen) enter a minus sign alone.
You will see this confirmation if your password is cleared correctly.
