Auteureist™ can be used to blog to the following supported blogging engines:
- Posterous.com - http://posterous.com
- Tumblr.com - http://www.tumblr.com
- Facebook - http://www.facebook.com
You can set up a "Novel" as a blog, and "Chapters" become blog entries.
Alternatively, you can just post any chapter as a blog entry.
In order to use Auteureist™ for blogging, you must first:
- Set up an account with either Posterous.com, Tumblr or Facebook.
- Set up your blogging email address in the Auteureist™ Settings from the device's Settings app (for Posterous or Tumblr).
NOTE: The Tumblr email is your posting email, not your account email.
NOTE: Make sure your default email address on your device is set as the account email for your blog.
- If you are using Facebook connect to Facebook using Auteureist™ Preferences Screen.
Once you have set up your account and settings, then you can post any chapter by tapping the Post button in the Capter Text Editing Screen.
This will bring up a sheet that will prompt you for the blog to post to.
Posting to Facebook will send your chapter to your Facebook stream.
If you post to Posterous or Tumblr, an email will be built with the contents of your chapter as the blog entry.
Any keywords you have set for the Novel will be automatically used as tags for your blog entry.
You can edit the text of the entry at this point, paste in content, etc.
Finally, tapping the Send button will send your entry to your blog, or allow you to save it for later as a draft in your mailbox.
