The Chapter Text Editing Screen is where you create the text of your chapter. This is the screen where you will spend most of your time.
This screen has two modes: normal, and full-screen mode, both of which are supported in portrait and landscape modes.
This screen also honors the font and color settings that you specify in the Preferences Screen.
The buttons include:
- Tap the Cancel button to abort your editing and return to the Chapter Edit Screen.
- Tap the Save button to save your editing and return to the Chapter Edit Screen.
- Tap the Post button to post the text as a blog entry. Note that this automatically sets the chapter to the Done state,(See the Blog Integration Section.)
- Tap the Keybaord button to hide the keyboard if it is visible, and to use the Thesaurus. (See the Thesaurus Section.)
- The Fullscreen Toggle button, which is displayed as a faint letter 'F' in the upper-right of the text area. Tap this to switch between fullscreen mode, which hides all of the toolbars, and normal mode. NOTE: Switching to landscape mode automatically enters fullscreen mode to provide as much room for editing as possible.
- The Scroll To Bottom button which is displayed as a faint letter 'B' in the bottom-right of the text area. Tap this to scroll to the end of your chapter and bring up the keyboard for editing.
The top bar contains the name of the chapter, while the second bar has the chapter's target word count as set in the Chapter Creation and Chapter Edit Screens. This is automatically updated as you type. Below the second bar is a progress indicator that fills up as you type to reach the chapter's target word count.
Most of the screen is taken up by the editing area. This area is fully scrollable and supports all of the iPhone's Cut, Copy, and Paste functionality, as well as Shake to Undo.
