The Novel Creation Screen allows you to create a new novel and specify its attributes.
- Tapping the Back To Writing button will take you back to the Writing Selection Screen and throw out any changes you've made.
- Tapping the Save button will create your novel and take you back to the Novel Selection Screen.
- Enter the title for you novel in the Title field.
- Auteureist™ keeps track of your novel creation date and completion dates. A new novel is assumed to be In Progress. You can set it to Done to indicate the novel is completed. This information is exported and synchronized with your novel.
- You can set a Target Word Count for the overall novel either by using the slider or tapping on the word count and entering a value. Auteureist™ will keep track of your progress and display it in the Summary Screen. Additionally, you can specify individual Chapter target word counts when creating the individual chapter.
- Tapping the Timeline button will bring up a date picker which will allow you to specify your novel's timeframe.
NOTE: You can leave these unset if your novel has an indeterminate timeline. Doing so will cause Auteureist™ to not display timeline information on the Timeline Screen. - The Keywords field allows you to enter a list of keywords separated by commas (no space after the comma). These keywords will be synchronized and exported. Additionally, any keywords placed here will be used as tags when posting to blogs.
The Time Worked field displays the actual amount of time you spent writing in yy:mm:dd hh:mm:ss format.
Once you are happy with your novel's setup, tap the Save button to confirm it, or the Cancel button to abort the entry and back out.
