Upgrading an iPhone Version Running on the iPad
NOTE: These instructions are for people running Auteureist™ 1.2 on an iPad device, and who do NOT want to upgrade to the iPad version. If you are upgrading from the iPhone to iPad version, see Upgrading to the iPad Version.
1 - Backup your work using the Backup function of Auteureist™
2 - Export your work to your desktop using WEB EXPORT.
3 - Double-check that you have exported everything you want to protect.
4 - Install Auteureist™ 2.0 on the iPad.
5 - Verify the Auteureist™ 2.0 settings in the Settings App.
6 - Start Auteureist™ 2.0. If the app starts and your writing looks ok, you're done. Do another backup.
IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS
7 - Delete Auteureist™ from the device.
8 - Reinstall Auteureist™ 2.0 for the iPhone from the App Store. You won't be charged again.
9 - Connect your iPhone to your PC or Mac and start iTunes.
10 - Select your iPad in the iTunes Devices section.
11 - Tap on the "Apps" button.
12 - Scroll down to the "File Sharing" section.
13 - Select Auteureist™ in "Apps".
14 - Drag and drop the file you exported in step 2 above onto the Auteureist™ Documents pane. Confirm the overwrite.
15 - Disconnect from iTunes
16 - Restart Auteureist™ on the device.
