Journal Settings

The Journal Settings Screen allows you to specify and manage the specifics of your journal.

This screen is a lot simpler than the one for other project types.

  • The Done button will close this screen and save any changes you have made.
  • The Cancel button will close this screen and discard any change you made since the screen was opened.
  • Below the buttons in the center, is a label with the Start Date of the journal. Journals are open-ended projects and have no end date, or target requirements.
  • Below the Start Date is a chooser that allow you to specify this journal as being your default journal.
  • Under the Not Default / Default chooser is an edit field that contains the name or Title of the journal.
  • The Category flip-picker lets you choose the type of journal you desire. Currently, the options are:


  • Unknown
  • Daily
  • Travel
  • Project
  • Personal Development
  • Meditation
  • Creativity
  • Planning
  • Gardening
  • Nature
  • Gratitude
  • Eating-Food
  • Reading
  • Dream
  • Other

NOTE: The type of journal has no function apart from tagging the journal. All journals work the same way.

  • The Description field lets you write a note about the journal.
  • The Keywords field lets you specify a comma-separated list of keywords or tags that is used in exporting to services that support keywords or tags.
