Projects & Elements

Auteureist™ uses the idea of writing projects and elements.

A project is a cohesive piece of writing. This includes the actual text, attributes, and research associated with the writing itself. Auteureist™ supports the following built-in projects:
  • Novel
  • Journal
  • Blog
  • Script
  • Essay
  • Poem
  • Short Story
  • Other
An element is a section within the project as a whole. This includes the actual text, attributes, and research associated with the text. A project is typically made up of more than one element. For example, a project that is a novel, is made up of elements called chapters, a script is made up of scenes, etc.

In Auteureist™ think of an element as being everything associated with a novel's chapters, a script's scenes, etc.
You can manage project types and their associated elements using the Manage Types screen.
