This is the Auteureist™ main screen. This is where you manage all of your writing projects. When you first start the application with no writing, this is what you will see.

The Project Types is a list of all of the writing project types in your database. Auteureist™ comes preconfigured with the following types:

  • Novel
  • Journal
  • Blog
  • Script
  • Poem
  • Short Story
  • Essay
  • and Other.

You can also tap the Manage button on the first tile to define your own.

You can swipe each row of the main screen to focus on the desired item. Swiping will adjust lower rows based on your selection. You can also tap on an item to focus on it or to perform an action. Actions are specific to the item. You can also swipe up and down to move between rows.

From top to bottom the rows are:




To start a project, tap on a type (either one of the standard ones, or one that you create). Tapping on a project type will display all projects of that type. Then tap the Create button on the Projects carousel.

At the bottom of the main window on the left is a wrench icon which will bring up a log file that can be sent to support@auteureist.com when requested in order to help fix issues. You can view the log at any time. On the right is a ? icon which will bring up this online help. NOTE: All help buttons require an internet connection.

The top toolbar has one button a gear icon which, when tapped, will bring up the Auteureist™ preferences. It also has an "i" button which will bring up the About window.

The bottom toolbar contains three buttons. From left to right they are:
